Spanish hotel investment tops €700m in 2014

Investment in Spain's hotel market has topped €700 million in the first half of 2014.

Between January and the end of June 2014, CBRE says that a total of €724 million was invested in the hotel industry, already higher than last year's total figure (€665 million).

The commercial property sector is thriving thanks to the country's booming tourism sector, with 124.5 million overnight stays recorded in the first half of 2014, the highest number for several years.
