Us farmland prices continue slump
US farmland prices are continuing to slump, according to an index from Creighton University.
The university's latest report recorded a rating of 39.4 for March 2015 - any figure below 50.0 indicates falling prices - the 16th month of declining values in a row.
The report attributes the decline to weak demand, which is also being hindered by the strengthening dollar, as the stronger currency makes US crops less competitive with stock from other countries.
