Us house prices up 11pc in last year
US house prices have risen 11 per cent in the last year, according to new figures from RealtyTrac.
The firm's latest report shows that the median sales price of US residential properties — including both distressed and non-distressed sales — was $172,000 in April, an increase of 4 per cent from the previous month and an increase of 11 per cent from April 2013, the biggest year-over-year increase since prices bottomed out in March 2012.
Sales slipped 1 per cent month-on-month, but are now 4 per cent higher year-on-year.
