Natal named top beach retirement hotspot

Brazil's “City of the Sun”, Natal, has been revealed as one of the world's top beach destinations to retire to. The world's most trusted source for information on living, retiring and investing overseas, Live and Invest Overseas, has highlighted the city's mile-long crescent beach, which is sheltered by a giant sand dune, and its warm, shallow waters as two of the key reasons for Natal's inclusion in its list of the five best places to retire on the beach in 2016.

The only beach destination in Brazil to make it into the top five, Natal was also flagged, as its nickname suggests, as one of the country's sunniest cities – a factor often close to the hearts of those looking to retire to their dream home overseas. The city benefits from more than 300 days of sunshine annually, with a gentle, balmy climate throughout the year.
