World cup kicks off expat jobs in qatar

The 2022 World Cup is kicking off expat job opportunities in Qatar, according to a new report.

The research from the QNB Group shows that the current wave of opportunities is similar to the boom between 2004 and 2009 when Qatar’s hydrocarbon sector sparked a population growth of 15.5 per cent year-on-year.

Indeed, Qatar’s population is expected to hit the 2 million milestone by the end of 2013 and reach 2.2 million in 2014, an annual growth of 10.5 per cent over the next two years.
