Poland hotting up
The volume of residential properties in Poland sold in the first half of 2008 increased by 6.5per cent year-on-year and by around 33.4per cent compared to the same period in 2007, according to fresh data...
Figures from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) show that 101,200 homes in Poland were sold during the first and second quarters of this year.
The research further shows that between January to the end of August this year, construction work began on 94,500 new Polish housing units, an increase of 25.4per cent on a year ago.
The greatest number of completed new build homes in Poland was recorded in the provinces of Lower Silesia (30.2per cent) and Malopolskie (27per cent).
