Brits largest group expats down under
Brits make up the largest group of expats Down Under, according to new figures from the 20111 Census.
The UK contributes 1.1 million migrants to Australia's population, the biggest of any other country, with one in every 20 residents born in Britain. New Zealand is the second largest contributer of migrants, with 483,000 Kiwis living in Australia - ahead of Chinese expats (319,000).
Approximately half of all migrants live in either Sydney or Melbourne.
