The two-storey home boasts four bedrooms with en suite bathrooms to go with its celebrity credentials. The ABC prime-time comedy won Golden Globe and Emmy awards after filming in the Los Angeles property, while the potential for the producers paying more rights to film additional exterior shots of the state could result in an equally golden payday.

The estate agent from Coldwell Bank Previews International told Zillow that the new owners would have to negotiate the amount with ABC Studios.

For fans of the US series, though, the chance to live in the same building (sort of) as Claire and Phil Dunphy will be reward in itself.

The home is located in the Cheviot Hills neighborhood, a glamorous enough neck of the woods that the agents of confident of selling the home regardless of its small screen fame.

“It’s a charming, gorgeous, cozy, family-oriented and classic-style home in a fantastic neighborhood where there’s very little inventory,” he told Zillow.

Indeed, low supply in the Us coupled with high demand has helped to drive up prices significantly in the last year. It is good news for the home in question, which was last bought by the current owner in 2006 for $1.97 million. The Modern Family connection is a bonus. With the market back on the up on the other side of the crash, the new price tag is a cool $2.35 million.
