Price hard: bruce willis cuts home value in half

Bruce Willis discounted his house price with a vengeance this month, as the Die Hard star struggles to find a buyer.
Hollywood action mega star Willis, famous for his starring role in Die Hard and its endless sequels, has provided diminishing returns for franchise fans in recent years. Now, he can expect a similar result from his real estate too, having cut the price once again on his Idaho home.
The 20-acre estate, located in Sun Valley, boasts seven bathrooms and six bedrooms. Willis used to frequent the area a lot, even owning a bar, called The Mint. Four years ago, though, he put he bar up for sale, followed by the other property one year later. The asking price? $15 million.
The lakefront mansion failed to attract a buyer, though, despite its impressive range of fireplaces, a humungous 2,200-square-foot master suit (and bath) and chef's kitchen, not to mention a heated driveway. (Yes, really.)
Now, Bruce has reduced the price tag once again, knocking the asking figure for the pad down to just $8.8 million - almost half the price of the original number.
Will it prove a good day to cut price hard? Or will Willis have to cut price even harder before he finally shifts the estate? If his real estate efforts are anything like his on-screen escapades, it may be wise not to rule out another entry.
