October is the best month to buy a home, according to RealtyTrac.

The report reveals that buyers of US property in October tend to pay an average of 2.6 per cent below a home's estimated value. The month is followed by February, July, December and January. The worst month, on the other hand, is April, when buyers tend to pay an average of 1.2 per cent above a home's estimated value.
