The 2020 World Cup is kicking off career opportunities in Qatar, experts have declared.
9 in 10 built environment professionals believe that the sports tournamemt will create new employment chances for skilled professionals, while research by CareerStructure.com shows that four in five professionals would consider moving to the country for work.
Indeed, Qatar’s employment prospects may now be even brighter than the UK, with 61 per cent of built environment professionals saying there are more opportunities there than in Britain. The positive outlook extends to people’s pockets, too, with 88 per cent of professionals saying they would expect to be paid more than – or the same amount as – their current UK salary.
Rob Searle, Commercial Director of CareerStructure.com, said: “Qatar is renowned for oil and gas, but with the World Cup coming investment in new projects and infrastructure is far and wide, opening up a whole host of new opportunities.”
