Bolivia enjoys house-building boom
Bolivia is enjoying a house-building boom, as the country's improving economy supports official efforts to increase its property supply.
More than 60 projects are currently under development in Santa Cruz, according to the Bolivian construction institute, Cadecocruz. The majority are residential developments (46), while a quarter of them (13) are mixed use developments. The latter are increasingly commonplace in the country, notes Global Property Guide, with the Marriot Hotel currently underway situated next to the 400-foot Riviera Towers, which includes both residential and commercial units.
Local authorities approved 30 million square feet of land for construction last year.
