Investors eye luscious loire
French property estate agents are reporting significant increase in demand for rental property in key locations within the Loire Valley...
According
to France property portal VEF, towns such as Chateau-du-Loir,
home to over 6,000 inhabitants, with many key businesses and associated
infrastructure, are high on the list of desirable locations for tenants looking
to rent.
A spokesperson for the company commented: "Over the past months there has been
a significant increase in demand from investors looking to capitalise on the
lower house prices and to buy homes suitable to rent out. This is not only
French buyers but also buy-to-let investors from the UK.
"Many such properties have already got tenants in place on long term leases
with yields ranging from 4% - 12% putting such an investment well above the
interest rates that banks are now offering.
"Rental properties can be found for as little as 100,000 Euros. When the
housing market gets back on track these investments will also see a capital
growth as well as the annual rental returns".
