John legend on the lookout for a bigger home
The crooner bought the home with his wife, model Chriss Teigen. Located in he Hollywood Hlls, the 1960s home felt right "not only for us but also for this city", he told Architectural Digest soon after moving in. Indeed, Legend and his wife wanted something that emulated the Rat Pack era, to which designer Don Stewart added "deft layering of materials both rugged and refined".
It is no surprise, then, that Legend loves his home. All of it. The three-bedroom pad swiftly became a two-bed-and-one-studio pad, as he used the third room to record his latest album. Now, though, the couple are ready to climb the housing ladder.
They are hunting for something a little bit bigger for them to expand, although if it can retain some of the vibe of their current home, that would be preferable. "If we could have the twice-as-big version of this place, we would get it. We love the feel of this home," Legend told the Wall Street Journal.
The price to live like a Legend? $1.995 million.
