Temperatures have reached as high as 50 degrees Celcius in some areas, as India continues to suffer a severe heatwave.
The heatwave has spread across much of the country, with the heat so intense that it has claimed several lives. Conditions have been particularly serious in Andhra Pradesh, where 852 have now passed away, while in Telangana, 266 people have died.
Hospitals have been on alert to treat affected patients, with the majority of victims of working class and above the age of 50.
Official meterological warnings from the Government of India advise domestic residents and expats that "severe heat wave conditions" will prevail "at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh" as well as "a few places over Telangana".
These are expected to continue on 28th May as well.
YK Reddy, an official from the department, though, tells the BBC that temperatures "should return to normal by the week end".
People are advised to wear a cap outside and keep hydrated.
