Palm Jumeirah is the most popular property hotspot in Dubai, new figures reveal.

Figures from consultancy Luxhabitat, based on data from REIDIN and the Dubai Land Department, show that that the Palm Jumeirah resort was the destination of choice from buyers, thanks to its more affordable prices.

The man-made island saw 48 sales in the first half of the year worth Dh 499 million, while Downtown Dubai saw 46 sales worth Dh 342 million. Dubai Marina and the Jumeirah Beach Residence together saw 40 sales worth Dh 349 million, followed by Business Bay (14 sales at Dh 111 million).

Downtown Dubai is the most expensive place to buy prime property, with an average cost of Dh 3,776 per square foot, compared to the more attractive Dh 1,928 per square foot of Palm Jumeirah.
