South of france still popular
Demand for property in the south of France is continuing to outstrip
supply, it has been claimed...
According to property finding firm Unique
Living, areas such as Cannes,
St Tropez and Cap Ferrat are all home to property markets based on established
homes, with the company stating that these areas are likely to survive the
current economic crisis.
Serge Cowan, Managing Director of Unique Living, explained that cheap
properties can be found in the region.
"There are some exceptional bargains in this current market place and
those savvy enough or financially able to purchase are getting some phenomenal
homes," he noted.
French property firm VEF recently revealed
that October saw the greatest number of property sales in the country since the
start of the year, with areas such as Charente and the Hautes-Alpes proving to
be the most popular, with low cost flights to Charente via Angouleme airport improving access to the
area.
