Poland in cheap flights boost

UK airline bmibaby has launched new services to Poland…

The additional flights – which began in February - will take in Gdansk, Krakow and Warsaw.

This will significantly enhance the accessibility of Poland to people living near the UK terminals at Birmingham, Cardiff and East Midlands Airport.

The flights increase the possibility of an increase in the number of people travelling to the country for holidays,  thus enhancing its appeal to overseas property investors.

Commenting on the country, bmibaby said: "Poland is a cosmopolitan country famous for its vibrant culture, from museums and galleries to palaces and churches. Visitors to the country will find plenty of exciting things to do".

Ewan McGarrie, chief executive of Propertyinvestment.co.uk, recently commented that people have become "increasingly aware" of the potential returns offered by Poland's real estate sector.

He explained: “However, a number of areas within the country have only a limited supply of properties, which is in part helping to ensure that demand is very high. Warsaw currently has a shortage of approximately 50,000 to 55,000 apartments.

"A lot of Polish people who have been living in the UK are now going back and this is creating and stimulating demand”.
