Archbishop apologies for building $2.2 million mansion
An Archbishop in America has apologised for building a $2.2 million mansion for himself.
The Atlanta estate, which spans a heavenly 6,400 square feet, was given a less-than-holy welcome by Catholics in the local area, who felt that Archbishop Wilton Gregory's construction of the property was inappropriate in an age where the new Pope is setting such an example of austere living.
The building was partly funded by a donation from Joseph Mitchell, the nephew of Gone with the Wind author Margaret Mitchell. Archbishop Gregory has apologies and now said that the Roman Catholic church is likely to sell the home.
