Increased tourism in Tuscany could be great news for overseas property investors...
EasyJet launched direct flights to Pisa from London Luton Airport were this week - a development which raise the possibility of increased tourism in the area. This is likely to result in higher demand for rental accommodation in Pisa and surrounding areas over the next few months.
David Osborne, General Manager of EasyJet UK, commented: "Pisa is a perfect Gateway to the stunning region of Tuscany and the nearby city of Florence."
The interest generated by the launch of cheap flights to Pisa could also push up property values across the region, allowing investors to benefit from capital appreciation.
A Place in the Sun magazine recently named Italy as the 5th most popular investment market in a survey of British property buyers.
