India's rupee rides positive wave
India's rupee is riding a positive wave of confidence in the wake of the new government's election. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said this week they would take "bold decisions" to strengthen the economy, reinforcing the newfound optimism in a country previously mired in uncertainty. Indeed, the rupee is rising once more after a previous plummet, climbing 0.7 per cent, as the country's economy grew 4.7 per cent in March 2014 year-on-year.
