Spanish planning falls
Spanish planning approvals dropped by 59 per cent during the first
nine months of this year, according to the Spanish Ministry of Development...
Only 215,315 planning approvals were issued in the period, down from 526,977
during the same period last year.
Some 80 per cent of planning approvals in the first nine months of the
year were for apartment blocks, down 61 per cent to 172,000 apartments compared
to 446,000 in the same period in 2007.
Meanwhile, planning approvals for detached houses fell 46 per cent to 43,500,
compared to 80,750 in the same period in 2007.
