Spanish mortgages plummet
Mortgage lending in Spain dropped in July 2013, according to new statistics.
The number of mortgages issues plunged 42.7 per cent compared to the same month last year, according to the National Institute of Statistics. 13,777 purchases were recorded in July, the lowest figure since 2003.
July marked the 39th month of mortgage lending declines in a row.
