Celebrity homes: enrique iglesias sells $6m home

The part-time pop singer and full-time heartthrob snapped up the property for a relatively miniscule $640,000 back in 1996 before building the mansion two years later. The final estate, which spans 6,400 square feet, boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms, reports Curbed.

The deal has fuelled speculation that Enrique and his partner, tennis superstar Anna Kournikova, are going through a rough patch. Indeed, the property, located on Sabal Palm Road in the trendy Bay Point area of Miami, was not listed for sale and was sold through a broker.

One source reportedly told Channel24: "They're on the rocks. Anna is getting tired of waiting for him to decide if he wants to marry her or not. They've been together for so long, she feels like it's never going to happen. She is ready to move on."

Whether the rumours are true or not, Iglesias’ real estate smarts are in no doubt: he sold the home for a tidy $6.7 million, more than 10 times the amount of the lot he originally bought.
