Turkey trounces top euro-stars
Turkey is one of the top countries for holiday BTL, reveals a new survey…
A recent study carried out by the web site, holidaylettings.co.uk, based on foreigners who own summer houses and rent them out over the Internet, placed Turkey 7th in a list of 112 countries even surpassing what are perceived to be popular rental countries such as Spain’s Balearic Islands and Canary Islands plus South Africa.
“The result confirms Turkey’s position as a top summer holiday destination and shows that it is a prime property investment location with a strong buy-to-let market†says Robert Nixon, Operations Director, Nirvana International.
“A home in Turkey can be used to generate a rental income and owners of quality property can see high financial returns. A holiday home in Turkey is an ideal escape in the sun for family and friends. It’s a great country with so much to offer the visitor from fabulous beaches to fascinating history. I am not at all surprised that Turkey ranks 7th on the list.â€
Working hard to attract visitors
The country is doing much to encourage visitors, which inevitably increases the desire to own and rent property in the area, particularly the beautiful coastal areas and around the many high quality golf clubs. Tourism is currently attracting more than 20 million annually which is an excellent indicator of the growing popularity of this sun drenched country and its appeal to the UK market.
New and improved airports show a Government that is working hard at promoting its potential. £75 million is being pumped into the re development of Dalaman airport and Antalya Airport is currently undergoing a £1.4 billion expansion plan.
A 2nd international airport is also planned for the Antalya region. BA have recently announced a new route to Antalya, bmi has now added Turkey to its routes, and Thomson are anticipating 6 million passengers will fly with them next year – Turkey included.
