Survey reveals misunderstanding of us rental laws
A majority of landlords and tenants lack understanding of laws in the US private sector, according to a new survey.
The Zillow Rentals report reveals that there is confusion of rental laws, such as security deposits and credit checks, while 77 per cent of tenants lack understanding of privacy and access rights.
The figures arrive despite a thriving buy-to-let market in the recovering US housing market, as a growing number of investors seek to become landlords to take advantage of strong demand for rented accommodation.
