The director, best known for blowing up buildings on the big screen and crushing cars with giant Transformers, enjoys knocking things down just as much in the real estate world: he bought one Bel Air property recently, only to demolish it and replace it with another designer pad.
Bay has followed that by placing another house in the area on the market. The mansion sprawls a suitable epic 8,000 square feet and was snapped up by the Armageddon helmer in 1999 for $5.16 million.
The four-bedroom property boasts the usual Hollywood amenities, notes Curbed, from private screening room and a large wine cellar to a large swimming pool with "unobstructed views" of Los Angeles. Just the thing when you're busy imagining giant robots trashing cities in your head.
The mansion is listed for a suitably blockbusting $13.5 million.
