Spider-man flips brentwood home

Tobey Maguire purchased Ricki Lake's plantation style single-storey estate in Los Angeles back in January 2014. The property, which was formerly owned by Courtney Cox until she sold it to the chat show host in 2002, boasts six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

The home spans an impressive 5,225 square feet and was built in 1949, with French doors opening onto a swimming pool, as well as a covered outdoor living room. Inside are a den, a library and a sauna, reports the LA Times.

After only a year of living there, though, Maguire has put the property back onto the market. While he is best known for his Spidey skills, it seems to be his recent role in The Great Gatsby that has rubbed off the most: the glamorous home has risen in asking price steadily over the years, from $5.6 million 2002 to $8.45 million in 2014. This year's asking price? $10.25 million. Not even Spider-Man can flip that quickly.
