Home from the silence of the lambs now for sale
The four-bedroom property was the residence of serial killer Buffalo Bill, serving as both a prison to keep his victims trapped and a workshop for his... unusual taste in fashion.
A typical homeowner might shy away from such a grisly Hollywood history, which could have any poor buyer struggling to get to sleep at night, while dreaming of sewing machines. But the agents are only too happy to play up the connection to Hannibal Lecter's famous cinematic outing.
"Remember Agent Starling walking into this home?" reads the caption on one photo on its listing.
The owners, Curbed notes, still have a copy of the Thomas Harris novel upon which the film was based, signed by Jodie Foster and director Jonathan Demme.
"Thank you all so much for letting us use your beautiful home in our scarey [sic] movie," Demme wrote. "Such a great location for us! Hope you enjoy the picture as much as we did your house."
The home also includes a bath and a swimming pool. There are no details confirmed about what is in the basement.
