Zillow signs 105 new mls deals

Zillow has signed 105 new agreements with Multiple Listing Services in the past six weeks.

The company ended its listing agreement with syndication service Listhub earlier in 2015, after a four-year deal, following its merger with Trulia. To avoid any lost listings after the end of the agreement, Zillow has since been contacting the individual MLSs in an attempt to secure new listing deals.

In total, Zillow Group has now signed 235 new agreements with MLSs since January 2015, representing hundreds of thousands of agents and listings.

"We have put a tremendous amount of resources into building these direct relationships with MLSs and creating technology to ensure we can show listings in real time to the millions of home shoppers visiting Zillow Group sites every month," says Errol Samuelson, Zillow Group chief industry development officer.

"It is crucial for home shoppers to be able to see listings as soon as they come on the market, especially in areas where inventory is constrained. Our direct feed agreements mean MLSs and their members have the opportunity to get their listings in front of the largest possible audience of home shoppers, in the fastest way possible."
