The cheapest caribbean island is…?

An overlooked Island in the Caribbean is full of bargains for investors…

Margarita Island is the largest island of the Nueva Esparta state in Venezuela, situated in the Caribbean Sea, off the northeastern Coast of the country. The island was settled by the Spanish in 1498 and many buildings from this period still survive on Margarita today.

According to Les Calvert, director of Property-Abroad.com, Margarita Island has several attractive qualities.

"It's an ideal location as it's in the Caribbean, and it's probably one of the cheapest places in the Caribbean to buy property. You can buy brand new property in Margarita from £30,000 upwards and some with guaranteed high yield rental income built into the price as well."

”The island also features a wide range of activities for tourists as well as gorgeous beaches.

Calvert added: “The political situation in Venezuela, of which Margarita is part, is not as bad as has been made out by some and, for this reason, investors should be put off by it.
