All chinese buyers want for christmas is... Property in detroit?

Detroit is near the top of the US wish list for Chinese property buyers, according to Juwai.com.

The site's report shows that while New York and Los Angeles are the number one and two choices for Chinese investors, Philadelphia and Detroit are the surprise entries that make up the top four. Indeed, the City of Detroit has seen its property values increase significantly since it filed for bankruptcy, attracting buyers keen to snap up real estate while at the market bottom.

Houston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta, San Diego and Memphis make up the rest of the top 10.
