Foodies head to melbourne for festival

Food lovers will be flocking to the Australian city of Melbourne in March for the annual internationally-acclaimed Food and Wine Festival (12-23 March 2010)...

Featuring more than 250 events spread over 12 days in Melbourne and the surrounding state of Victoria, the festival attracts some of the world's finest wine makers, chefs, and food experts for a gastronomic Celebration.

This year, a new wave of global chefs and winemakers are trailblazing their way to the festival for one of the best foodie experiences on earth.

The festival will also showcase a series of food-themed films with outdoor screenings from 15 March in
Federation Square including titles such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, My Dinner
with Andre and Babette's Feast.

This year's festival is also set to feature al fresco wine tasting with Cellar Door, Melbourne's riverside wine marketplace. There will be more than 60 of the state of Victoria's best wineries at the event, which takes place on March 20th and 21st at Southgate Promenade.
