The actress, who is famous for her roles in Notting Hill and Pretty Woman, certainly has the cash to afford a pad on the island paradise of Kauai. Whether she does or not is another matter.
A four-bedroom property located in Hanalei Bay is the home in question. It landed on the market this month with an asking price of $17 million. The stunning estate, which spans 1,807 square feet, is speculated to have been bought by Roberts and her cinematographer husband Danny Moder.
Indeed, Real Estalker (via Curbed) suggests that they may even own two homes on the North Shore of the island, prompting the couple to sell off one of pair.
The couple are rumoured to have bought the home for $10 million in June 2009, securing in addition to the main house 8.92 acres of secluded acres and 400 feet of ocean front. Their second pad, according to “circumstantial evidence” from another blog, was snapped up in November 2011 for $13.375 million.
It is without a doubt the kind of glamourous neighbourhood that welcomes A-Listers. As Real Estalker puts it: “If you want to swim along that part of the coastline you make a left at Pierce Brosnan's place and don't stop until you get to Ben Stiller scowling on a chaise outside his breathtaking beach front contemporary.”
Whether the property belongs to Julia Roberts and her husband is far more doubtful. Nonetheless, it is a stunning place to behold.

The slide was built on the side of St. Tudwal’s West, located just off the Welsh Coast, but due to the island’s status as an area of outstanding natural beauty, Gwynedd Council investigated to see if Grylls broke planning rules to install it. Grylls promptly removed it, saying that it was only intended as a temporary fixture.
