Taylor swift is fearless in buying us$25m beverly hills estate
Swift is certainly an apt description for the way pop star Taylor Swift is snapping up property – another, the title of her second album is fearless.
On average, the country music star snaps up around one home a year and her newest purchase is the Samuel Goldwyn estate in Beverly Hills, California, reportedly for a cool US$25million.
The home is from the estate of the late movie mogul Samuel Goldwyn and has been sold for US$2.995million less than the asking price, according to the TopTenRealEstateDeals.com website. The listing agent is Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Beverly Hills.
The 1930s 10,982 square feet, seven-bed, 10-bath mansion is on almost two acres behind the Beverly Hills Hotel. The design is in keeping with the airy California style but with the element of tradition which has appealed to Taylor Swift in her previous purchases.
Rooms have banks of French doors opening to terraces and views across manicured lawn and gardens. Included are a library-screening room, a guest suite with a private entrance on the home’s main level, library, card room, gym, and a private guest apartment above the garage. The master suite has a veranda that overlooks the city lights. Outside is a swimming pool and pool house with kitchenette and sunken tennis courts.
Joyce Rey says, “A superlative estate of impeccable design and magnificent detail, this prime Beverly Hills residence represents the epitome of cordial grace and distinguished heritage. A nearly two acre enclave surrounded by gorgeous landscaping on a quiet cul-de-sac just behind the Beverly Hills Hotel, it is designed with unique attention to formal beauty, majestic vistas and personal comforts.
“A noble estate in an incomparable location, this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
With a net worth of the more $200million and annual earnings of around $80million, the music star can afford to invest in prime property and she has bought, sold and profited on real estate in Nashville, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Manhattan.
At the age of 12, Taylor started playing guitar and, having previously won a national poetry contest, combined the two and started writing her first song, Lucky You.
Now at age 25, she is a platinum recording star with five albums behind her, Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red and 1989. Touring on the concert trail since 2009, Taylor has become one of the world’s top singers with her down-to-earth lyrics based mostly on her own life experiences.
To prove it, she has won seven Grammys, sixteen American Music Awards, eleven Country Music Association Awards, eight Academy of Country Music Awards, twenty-two Billboard Music Awards, one Brit Award and one Emmy.
