Cambridge helps commercial property activity climb in UK
Cambridge is helping commercial property activity to climb in the UK, according Savills.
The consultants’ latest research shows that activity in the commercial real estate sector is at a 79-month high, a growth that has been encouraged by the Cambridge technology cluster and new city Centre business district.
Savills Cambridge specialists say that schemes previously postponed due to the recession are now being resurrected, while nationally commercial property activity is 32 per cent higher – levels last seen prior to the financial crash.
Martin Mills, director of project and building consultancy at Savills Cambridge, told Business Weekly: “Cambridge has seen a gradual build up of commercial projects throughout the year with a slight hiccup mid January through funding issues.”
